The all you must know about toothache treatment

Teeth discomfort might possibly be one of the most irritating and baleful of the body’s minor malady. Therefore knowing toothache treatments and executing them properly is extremely beneficial. Their can be many reasons for toothache and consequently many treatments too. It is important to understand the causes of toothache before implementing any of the toothache treatment.

The most common cause for toothache is the food stuck between the spaces of the teeth. These remnants can be removed by dental flossing. Gentle dental flossing is a conducive toothache treatment that can help, while being too harsh with the floss can cause the gums to bleed.

Toothache is also caused by bacteria ambushing the soft teeth,  those teeth that are deficient in their mineral content and thus can not prevent the bacteria from penetrating the week enamel and making themselves at home in its inner softer part. In this case, cleansing the mouth with salt water is an efficient toothache treatment. Saltwater terminates germs and thus prevents them from unfurling any further. Another efficient treatment would be to dip a piece of cotton in clove oil (also known as lavang) and place it over the affected teeth. It takes about half an hour for the clove oil to appease the toothache. Rinsing your mouth after treating it with clove oil is important to ensure the bacteria do not make their way inside the body. It’s important to note and pay heed to the fact that clove oil should not be applied over the root canal or broken teeth, it would only result in the pain escalating. A not so popular but proven to be efficient method is grinding raw onion in the mouth. This acts as an exterminator and rids the mouth of bacteria. Applying a paste of bark berry and vinegar over the affected area will also help remove the pain.

Inflammation of nerves in the gums due to any oral damage can also cause intense toothache. In such a condition, the most sought after toothache treatment is application of gels which constitute of Aloe Vera.
A temporary toothache treatment would be to rub your fingers on an ice cube and then massage the affected area with the cold fingers. This would numb the area and provide some measure of relief from the pain. If that seems like a hassle then keeping an ice bag pressed to the cheek covering the bothersome teeth might help too, if not as much as the same procedure done with fingers. Toothaches caused by broken teeth can be relieved by avoiding chewing from the affected side. In such a case, extremely hot or cold food and drinks should be averted. Toothaches can also be treated by simple medicines like aspirins.

If the toothaches do not cease after a few days then a doctor’s professional opinion must be sought and followed accordingly. Since failure to perform toothache treatment on the time could prove to be very dangerous and they might coerce you into spending huge amounts of money.
